Training with TRX loops
TRX is an effective bodyweight functional training. The main equipment is loops. The loops help to develop strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. The founder of TRX is Randy Hetrick, a Navy SEAL unit commander in the US Army. During long stays at isolated bases, Hetrick and his fellow soldiers had to keep their physical fitness in good condition in any conditions. To solve this problem, the unique TRX Suspension Training was invented.
Training with TRX loops develops the body’s functional capabilities, while improving flexibility and balance and stabilizing the body.
The main advantages of TRX Suspension Training:
- training is suitable for people of all fitness levels
- the ability to train anywhere
- thanks to a wide range of possibilities for modifying exercises and changing the load, TRX solves all the tasks set in the training process
- TRX Suspension Training exercises are based on a deliberate shift in the center of gravity, which activates the stabilizing muscles (core muscles) during each exercise
What results can TRX achieve?
BENEFITS OF TRX TRAINING:
- all muscle groups are worked out
- the load on the spine is reduced (due to the fact that the body is in a suspended position)
- stabilizing muscles are involved
- posture improves
- the spine is strengthened
- endurance, strength and coordination are developed
- almost every exercise on the loops involves the abdominal muscles.
Strength training in stable body positions promotes the development of a specific muscle group, but cannot sufficiently develop the neuromuscular coordination necessary for the growth of optimal strength performance.
TRX exercises allow you to perform movements in three planes, which is not possible with other machines. You can train strength and stability throughout the entire range of the exercise, including at its extremes, where injuries often occur. By slightly shifting the body position, you can focus the work on a specific area of the human body, as well as bypass individual physical limitations. You can change the level of difficulty and move from exercise to exercise over a specific period of time. This mode will increase muscle endurance and improve the functional state of the cardiovascular system.
TRX uses complex multifunctional exercises and isolated exercises. Complex exercises involve the whole body. They are based on the coordinated actions of several joints and muscle groups. This type of training significantly improves the coordination abilities of the nervous system, creates strong motor connections, improves stabilization and provides functional muscle growth.
As for isolated exercises, these are more localized movements aimed at working out a specific muscle group. They are most often performed in one plane of motion. They can be effective for muscle development, but they are usually simple movements in which the development of neuromuscular connections is negligible.
The main advantage of TRX loops is the ability to engage in cardio, strength, functional training, stretching, and perform more than 200 exercises. Another advantage is its versatility. You can work out with TRX loops at home, in the gym, or outdoors. The main thing is to attach them to a stable support. TRX training is suitable for both beginners and advanced athletes.
